Stunning piece of musical ephemera. Program for a performance by the Kedroff Quartet (Quatuor Kedroff), a men's vocal quartet organized by Nikolay Kedrov, Sr. (1871-1940), a Russian composer. The quartet had their first performance in 1898 at the St. Petersburg Conservatory. The music group performed Russian folk songs, ballads, opera songs, and liturgical music. After the October Revolution, Kedrov moved to Berlin in 1922, and then later in 1928, to France. Kedrov reorganized the Kedroff Quartet in Paris, who resumed tours in Europe and North America. For this performance, the following are the four singers of the quartet: I. K. Denissoff (1st Tenor), T. F. Kasakoff (2nd Tenor), N. N. Kedroff (Baritone), and C. N. Kedroff (Bass). The program proceeds to list the songs to be performed. The program is divided into four parts, "Russian Folk Songs," "Russian Composers," "Russian Folk Songs," and "Non-Russian Composers." The interior panels give some background information on the songs and composers.. Ephemera. Book Condition: Collectible-Very Good. Binding: No Binding
