Humphrey Milford. Large Children's Boat Shaped Board Book. First edition. No wrapper issued (or possible!) Slight splitting to paper covered spine but sound. Small colour pieces missing from top of sail. Title page and following few pages foxed otherwise a lovely copy of a scarce item. Chloe Preston, 1887-1969, was a children's author and artist of books and postcards. She is best known for her cute, cherubic children in adult guise and situations. Unlike the later US edition this volume has HMS Chunky on the sailors' hats on the cover as well as the illustrations within.
