Two volumes (complete). A sound, steady set. An extraordinary set of books that are intensely detailed observations of Eastern Cape birds. Note: the ISBN is for Volume 1, the reference number and price is for both. Rebound. The blue boards of both books are tidy, smart. The gilt stamped titling is a little worn but otherwise benevolent. The front pastedowns have ex-libris plates affixed. The frontispages have gift inscriptions (not from the author). There is very mild evidence of storage conditions particularly to the aft of the books. Volume 1: 1037 pages plus index. The page trims have some storage and handling marks, a splattering of foxing. The early and later pages are splashed with light spots of foxing. Otherwise, the pages are benign, placid, clean, clear, very certain. Volume 2: ISBN: 0620212896 : Bird Biology : 1352 pages. As with the previous volume the trims have storage foxing. A few early and later pages are also flecked with foxing. Otherwise, the pages are diligent, devoted, bountiful, clean and clear. fk.
