Original billhead on beige stationery of Southern Iron Works with a letter written on it in black ink. "Signed" by the company with a purple "Southern Iron Works" stamp. Red text or stamp superimposed over header that reads, "Elevators and Engines." Datelined November 22, 1891 in New Orleans, Louisiana. 7 3/4" x 10 1/2." One page, complete. Letter is very clean and intact. Paper has a few horizontal and vertical fold lines. Tiny chip at the edge of the upper-right corner. A Fine copy. The printed header reads, "Office of Southern Iron Works, W. Curray, Proprietor. Dealer in and Repairer of All Kinds of Second-hand Machinery. ... Repairing of Steam and Gas Engines, Boilers, Pumps, Water and Hand Elevators, Taking down, Removing and Putting up all Kinds of Machinery; Anchor and Machine Bolts Made to Order. Steam and Gas Fittings; All Kinds of Fittings Kept on Hand. Blacksmithing in General." In this letter, Southern Iron Works writes to two customers about the illustrated catalogue of "Regan Vapor Engine" that had accompanied the letter.
