Original publisher's gray paper wrappers with staple binding. Green, maroon, and gray design on front cover with eagle motif. 1958-1959. 6" x 9." Unpaginated, twelve pages, complete. A few illustrated advertisements, complete. A full-page ad on inside of front cover promotes a Polynesian restaurant, the Coral Reef, on Fulton Avenue in Sacramento. The Coral Reef opened in 1949 and remained in business until 1994. Back cover lists the names of donors to Operation Eaglet. Program is virtually pristine and intact except for minuscule age toning and light offsetting on the third page from the facing Coral Reef ad. A Fine copy. Program for a sci-fi comedy, A Visit to a Small Planet, presented by the Sacramento Civic Repertory Theater at the Eaglet Theater. A Visit to a Small Planet was written by Gore Vidal (1925-2012), an American playwright, and first appeared as a televised play. Vidal later adapted the television production into a play on Broadway. The story is about a human-loving alien named Kreton from the planet, X-47, who insists on visiting Earth and interacting with people against his teacher's wishes. Comedic mishaps ensue.. Ephemera.
