8vo. Vol 1 Fellowship of the ring, tenth imp, 1961. Vol 2, the Two Towers, eigth imp, 1961. Vol 3, the return of the king, seventh imp, 1961. In slipcase which has rather heavy chipping, rubbing and tanning, with some splitting. Jackets are rubbed and chipped with some minor staining, vols 1 and 3 have tanned spines, vol 1 has some minor loss to spine ends and corners. Closed edges are a little grubby, particularly vol 1 which also has fading to red top edge. Red top edges of vols 2 and 3 have heavy dampspotting or splash staining. Some wear to spines, light creasing and light wear to spine ends. Ghost tape marks to free endpapers of all vols, and owner's name to all ffeps. Some creasing to pp49-64 of vol 1. some slight cocking and lightly strained gutters, otherwise pages are clean and bright, all maps present to rear of vols.. Book Condition: Good Minus.
