Original stereocard on beige cardboard with two black-and-white stereoscopic photographs. Each photo features a scenic and monumental view of Yosemite Falls. The photos also show a trail through the trees to the waterfall and a person posing in the foreground. Stereocard: 7" x 3 1/2." Each photograph: 3" x 3 1/2." Stereocard is very clean and intact except for a few bumps to the edges, darkening on front and back, and a few tiny spots of discoloration. A Very Good copy. Title printed in bottom margin below photograph on right. "Underwood & Underwood, Publishers; New York, London, Torontoa-Canada, Ottawa-Kansas." printed in left margin. "Works and Studios; Arlington, N.J., Littleton, N.H., Washington, D.C." printed in right margin. Underwood & Underwood was a prominent producer and distributor of stereoviews and a pioneer in news bureau photography. The firm was founded by brothers Elmer Underwood (1859-1947) and Bert Underwood (1862-1943). In 1882, Elmer and Bert established their company in Ottawa, Kansas and enjoyed many years of success.
