Contemporary brown full leather binding. Gilt lettering and five raised bands on spine. Spine label chipped with some loss of lettering. All edges stained red. Marbled endpapers. Trimmed, with loss of two words of the title, "Florus Anglicus," and part of the headlines (page numbers and titles on top of the pages), but text complete. A small amount of the main text is affected by the trimming but the words are still readable. 4" x 6 1/2." 242 pages, complete. Black-and-white illustrations, including a frontispiece portrait of Oliver Cromwell, complete. Extra black-and-white illustrations and handwritten bibliographic note are tipped in. Former owner's signature in black ink on a front flyleaf dated 1800. Pages and covers are very clean and intact overall. Binding is tight. Joints strong. Surface chipping to covers and spine. Foxing and age toning to pages. A Very Good copy. A history of England covering the periods from William the Conqueror to King Charles I.. Book. Book Condition: Very Good. Binding: Hardcover
