Original carbon typescript printed on beige paper. Pages bound by a paper clip. 8 1/2" x 11." Fifty-one pages, complete. Paper has "Peerless Mimeograph" watermark. Pages are very clean and intact except for slight chipping at the lower-right corner of the first page. Typescript for an episode of The Fleischmann's Yeast Hour that aired 8:00-9:00 p.m. on June 14, 1934. The Fleischmann's Yeast Hour (also known as The Rudy Vallee Show, The Fleischmann Yeast Hour, and The Fleischmann Hour) was a musical variety radio show that was broadcast on NBC from 1929-1936. In 1936, its name changed to The Royal Gelatin Show which aired until 1939. In its time, The Fleischmann's Yeast Hour was a top-rated program, and many actors and actresses made their debut on the show. Included in this episode are the following: a sketch comedy titled "Harlem Moon" that stars Eddie Green as a janitor who is unconvinced when a casting director, played by Dick Campbell, tries to pitch an acting role for him that will take place in the African wilderness; a radio commercial for Fleischmann's Yeast; adaptation of Ring Lardner's "Love Nest," starring Margaret Sullavan and Porter Hall; interview with the new national Open golf champion, Olin Dutra; comedic musical with Allen Cross and Henry Dunn titled "Love Thy Neighbor"; another commercial for Fleischmann's Yeast; and a sketch comedy starring Willie and Eugene Howard with the latter playing a naval recruiting officer and the former playing the would-be recruit..
