Pages are very clean and intact. Typescript for an episode of The Fleischmann's Yeast Hour that aired 8:00-9:00 p.m. on January 25, 1934. The Fleischmann's Yeast Hour (also known as The Rudy Vallee Show, The Fleischmann Yeast Hour, and The Fleischmann Hour) was a musical variety radio show that was broadcast on NBC from 1929-1936. In 1936, its name changed to The Royal Gelatin Show which aired until 1939. In its time, The Fleischmann's Yeast Hour was a top-rated program, and many actors and actresses made their debut on the show. Included in this episode are the following: introduction by Rudy Vallee for the forthcoming acts (and a mention of BBC); a comedy act with George Beatty; script cuing a theme song by Harold Arlen; introduction and cue for a waltz medley based on five famous waltz melodies arranged by Elliot Jacoby and performed by Helen Jepson, The Rhythm Girls, Rudy Vallee, the International Quartet, and the Vallee Orchestra; commercial for Fleischmann's Yeast; a comedy act with Eddie Garr; script cuing a song, "The Ballad of the Harp Weaver," performed by Dario Shindell, Claire Ross (on piano), and the Vallee Orchestra; another commercial for Fleischmann's Yeast; cue for a musical number by The Saxon Sisters; and script for one-act play, Three in Danger, written by Richard Hughes and starring Phillips Holmes as Jack, Ruth Easton as Mary, and Taylor Holmes as Jones, who are all trapped in a mine..
