The Venture. February, 1929

8vo. Card wrappers, a little marked, dust soiled, tanned and lightly creased, with some moderate chipping to the spine ends, but a nice crisp copy internally. Contributors include John Lehmann (writing as 'R.J.F.Lehmann', who contributes two woodcuts and a decorated poem), Julian Bell, Raymond McGrath and the editors. 'The Venture' ran for a total of six issues between November 1929 - June 1930, and is perhaps most noteworthy for early contributions from Louis MacNeice (none of which, alas, appear in this issue). Blunt recalled that MacNeice reviewed the magazine when if first appeared, calling it 'dangerously safe, and Georgian and respectable'. [A light item, UK postage will be reduced].. Book. Book Condition: Fair. Binding: Soft cover
