Dean & Co. picked up the series in 1933 of which this is a copy (verified by an owner signature dated 1933). The book has suffered from reckless storage. The thick board covers are jolly, classic-Atwell, very worn and is provided with extra character with its scruffiness. The spine and binding, despite wear, is supple and healthy. The back cover is particularly worn and stained. Inside, the contents are pleasurably good! They are thick, firm, sturdy.
