All three books have Dewey classification labels on their spines. The books have clear plastic protective covers (neat). Vol I includes a separate index (in booklet format). The set is benevolent and assured. Volume I (A - B) is mild-mannered. The pages are clean, clear, generous. The index booklet has some residue marks. It is secure. Vol II (F - Q), published 1951, is comfortable and sure. The pages have some mild foxing and handling marks, but are otherwise competent, certain, clear and benign.
