Harry Yandell Benedict (1869-1937) was an American astronomer, mathematician, and professor who taught at the University of Texas at Austin (UT). He was also notable for being the university's longest-serving president, the first UT alumnus to serve as president, and the only president to have also served as president of the alumni association..
