Black-and-white illustrations, complete. Many advertisements included. Pages are very clean and intact overall except for slight bumping to corners of fore-edge, some darkening to first and last pages, and light age toning. Covers are clean and intact overall but have a few wrinkles, light to moderate rubbing, slight bumping to corners, tiny splits at head and tail of spine, rubbing along spine, faint dampstains in upper-right corner on front, and a chip in upper-left corner on back. Binding is tight. A Very Good copy. An original program published on the occasion of an upcoming event, the Arabian Nights-themed German Relief Bazaar held at the Civic Auditorium in San Francisco from May 19-24, 1916. The Bazaar celebrated German culture and local Bay Area culture with a setting and entertainments inspired by Arabian Nights. There are many features in this publication. One of the front pages has a map of numbered booths in the Bazaar. Several pages in is a corresponding list of the booths. Some of the booths' names are "Deutsche Literatur und Jugend-Schriften," "War Maps," "Irish Booth," "Mill Valley Novelties and Varieties," "Redwood City Redwood and Atherton Emporium," "Chocolate Booth," "Harmonie Aprons and Cakes, "Austrian Booths" "Art Booth," "German Hospital," "San Francisco Turn-Schwestern," "Souvenir Booth," "Hungarian Booth," "Candy," and "Weinstube." The program of events is several pages in and organized by day. Each of the days has a theme and are listed as "Grand Opening Day," "California State Day," "Military and Turners' Day," "Bay Cities Day," "German Societies' Day," and "San Francisco Day." Also included are the article, "America's Debt to German Education" by Benjamin Ide Wheeler, articles in German, a synopsis of the "ballet-pantomime," "In Old Baghdad," and a program of band music played for the Bazaar. There are numerous ads interspersed throughout for various businesses and products such as Sperry Flour, California and Hawaiian Sugar Refining Co., Bank of Italy, German Alliance Insurance Association of New York, Bank of California, Deutches Altenheim, and Heidelberg Inn..
