In Hebrew, with English title page. “This periodical organ of Mizrahi, edited by Bar-Ilan, was originally published in Berlin from 1910 to 1914. It resumed publication in America in 1916 and last appeared on 17 Heshvan 5682/1921 (vol. 11) . It 'played an important role in the development of the modern Hebrew press in America' (Persky) . Many of the leading Hebrew writers in America, including those not affiliated with Mizrahi, contributed literary, news and opinion articles. … Among the contributors were Meir Bar-Ilan, Hillel Bavli, Israel Belkind, Hemdah Ben-Yehuda, Reuben Brainin, M. M. Dolitzky, Israel Efros, Judah Leib Hacohen Fishman, Simon Ginzburg, Abraham Goldberg, Yehiel Kaplan, Ezekiel Leavitt, Ephraim Lisitzky, Zevi Hirsch Masliansky, Joseph Opatoshu, Yehoash...” (Goldman, Hebrew Printing in America, Entry # 928) . Edited by Meir Berlin, later Hebraized to Meir Bar-Ilan, (born 1880 at Volozhin, Lithuania, died 1949 at Jerusalem, Israel) was an Orthodox rabbi and leader of Religious Zionism, the Mizrachi movement in USA and British Mandate of Palestine.
