signed, dated and warmly inscribed by Esme Berman. there are no other inscriptions and the binding is excellent. the jacket is a little shelf rubbed and very slightly shelf worn. it is bright and attractive and presents very well in cellophane. the book has a few old tape residue marks under the boards and on the end papers. a few marks on the end pages. internally very clean indeed.. The boards are clean and square, with little, if any, defect to them. The gold gilt on the front and spine is bright and cheery. The dust jacket is rubbed and worn, with a few creases along the edges and two closed tears along the edges of the spine. Despite this, the jacket is bright and intact, and the tears barely visible. Internally, the front pastedown has a previous owner's signature on it in black ink and it also has some tape residue markings on it. These same markings can be found on the back pastedown as well. The cover is muscular and secure with very mild wear to corners and the head and foot of the spine. The paper trims have handling marks. There is evidence of ownership and usage throughout. There are amongst the library residue previous owner signatures (which have been erased) on the inside front cover. The front pages have residue and marks.
