Black cloth-covered boards with string binding. Yellow lettering on front cover. Contains many tipped-in items such as programs, brochures, and newspaper clippings. 11 1/4" x 9 1/2." Unpaginated, c. seventy pages. Pages are very clean and intact except for age toning and the small occasional wrinkle or mark. At least one item, a program, is loose and laid in. Covers are clean and intact overall but have fading, slightly bumped corners, and light rubbing. Scrapbook is very neatly arranged with beautiful presentation. A Very Good copy. An original scrapbook featuring Southern California church programs and music programs, postcards, brochures, newspaper clippings, and similar items relating to Southern California performances, parks, social events, and the like. Many of the represented places or events are in Pasadena and Los Angeles. The scrapbook contains about fifty printed programs and about thirty of these relate to Southern California churches (most are Protestant). The church programs are from services, concerts, special events, and charities. Among the points of interest and organizations shown or represented in this scrapbook are the Pasadena Public Library, First Methodist Episcopal Church, Glee Club, First Congregational Church, Foothill Boulevard, Westminster Presbyterian Church, Sierra Madre's Annual Wistaria Fete, Illinois State Picnic in Los Angeles, Garden Fete in Busch Gardens, Pasadena Presbyterian Church, Arroyo Seco Auto Road, and the Cawston Ostrich Farm. The scrapbook was kept by Bessie A. Zollinger (1868-c.1940). She was born in Oyle, Illinois and was involved in women's clubs in the Chicago area.
