Wood cut illustration on title page, 371 pages. Drop caps at beginning of sections. Condition: Book has cracked in half, detached (binding and text block) at pages 130/131. Cracks to hinges. Pages 123-130 and 131/132 detached and laid in; several other signatures partially separated. Heavy wear to binding, with corners turned inward. Extensive writing (Latin and English?) on endpapers, back of title page (verso), end of text (page 371) and on rear endpapers, with various, difficult to decipher dates [1707, 1805?, 1820??]. Age toned; intermittent damp staining and soiling; periodic old marks from insects, but no holes; paper missing on pgs. 131/132 (affecting text in second column), intermittent short tears/creases/wrinkling/chips. Else overall Poor condition, in need of restoration and binding. Bible expert reviewed book condition three years ago and estimated the value at $350 to $600.
