4to. pp. [xliv], 1326 + 5 engraved folding maps and plates. With additional engraved title, letterpress title printed in red and black with engraved vignette on the theme of Constantine the Great. Greek text. The maps show the Eastern Mediterranean and the Near East, the World and the Holy Land (two sheets joined), and there is also a plan of Jerusalem and a view of the construction of the Tabernacle with the Ark of the Covenant in the foreground. Some light waterstaining to the upper inner margin of the first few leaves, and a little age-toning. Contemporary prize-vellum with the arms of the Hague on the covers, slightly soiled.

Darlow & Moule note that Lambert Bos’s edition of the Sixtine text has “served as a copy for many later editions”. According to Dibdin this includes the Oxford University Press, and he also draws attention to the quality of the critical apparatus., Darlow & Moule 4726; Dibdin I, 97.
