Two volumes - complete. The reference number refers to BOTH volumes as a set. Two large, very heavy, magisterial books. Volume 1 is much worn all about the edges and corners. The faces of the covers are scuffed and marked. They are strong and sound. The contents have evidence of ownership and usage throughout. The front pages are creased and marked from storage and handling. Beyond this the pages are clear, clean, benign and generous. The binding is healthy. Volume 2 is less worn about the covers and is more benign. The boards do have wear, scuffing and knocks to the corners. The pages have evidence of use with some very occasional annotations. There are dustings of handling marks. However, the contents are assured, competent, clear and handsome.
