An impressive large scale mid 19th century map of Ontario by the Office of Crown Lands March 30th 1857. The map depicts township outlines, county outlines and land agency divisions.

Joseph Édouard Cauchon, PC (December 31, 1816 – February 23, 1885) was a prominent Quebec politician in the middle years of the nineteenth-century. He held a variety of portfolios at the federal, provincial and municipal level. In 1855, Cauchon was appointed to the cabinet as Commissioner of Crown Lands.
