Original typewritten letter signed by Lecomte du Nouy on his personal stationary. 6 1/4 X 9 inches. Single page. Dated April 28, 1947 Lecomte (1883-1947) was a biophysicist and philosopher. He was best known by scientists for his work on this surface tension, and other properties of liquids. In this letter, addressed to Mr. Norman Unger of Bronx, New York, Lecomte du Nouy is please that Mr. Unger likes his book. Then he explains that it is a translation of his three previous books. He also mentions that his wife "translated it into English and refused to have her name mentioned as translator as we both worked on it together."
