Original black and white pen and ink sketch portrait of an Asian woman pointing at a tooth on the left hand side of her mouth. (4 1/8 x 3 1/4 inch) mounted to a cut-out board (9 3/4 x7 3/4 inch) inscribed by Dulac in the bottom margin "To Mrs. Alfred Fowler, From Edmund Dulac, 1915" and titled Sai in the lower right hand corner of the sketch. Sai-Jen was a character in his book "Edmund Dulac's Fairy Book: Fairy Tales of the Allied Nations". Mrs. Fowler (1872-1921), whose maiden name was Eva Neumann, was a patron of the arts and friend of Ezra Pound.. Book. Book Condition: Collectible-Fine. Binding: No Binding
