This propaganda photobook, published just before the dissolution of Czechoslovakia and World War II, is an interesting example of an avant-garde artist's turn towards national themes, and Jenicek also made short films for the military. Dedicated to the Czechoslovak army, it was published in May 1938 - in the last months of the existence of the First Republic, when the threat to national security was clearly felt.
