With map-illustrated endpapers, and 30 full-page black and white photographs. Edges lightly spotted, and with a small area of discolouration to the tip of the front free endpaper where some pencilled details have been erased. A very good copy in very slightly rubbed and soiled price-clipped dust wrapper, with a faint vertical crease to the front flap. 'Heaven's Command' (1973). First edition. 8vo. 554pp. Red cloth lettered in gold at the spine. With a superb double-spread John Piper title-page illustration (repeated on the dust wrapper), map-illustrated endpapers, 32 full-page black and white photographs and reproductions, and several maps in the text. Edges lightly spotted, and with a small area of very slight discolouration to the tip of the front free endpaper where some pencilled details have been erased. A very good copy in the splendid double-spread Piper dust wrapper, non-price-clipped but with just the tiniest trace of chafing to one or two extremities. 'Farewell the Trumpets' (1978). First edition. 8vo. 576pp. Red cloth lettered in gold at the spine. With map-illustrated endpapers, and 14 full-page black and white photographs, and several maps in the text. Edges lightly spotted, and with a small area of discolouration to the tip of the front free endpaper where some pencilled details have been erased. Former owner name inked to the head of the front free endpaper. A very good copy in very slightly rubbed and edgeworn price-clipped dust wrapper, with a single miniscule enclosed snag to the spine panel, and some inked letters to the margin of the rear wrapper flap. A very nice set of Morris' noted history of the British Empire, the first published volume in fact serving as the centre-piece of the trilogy.. Book. Book Condition: Very Good. Binding: Hardcover.
