Octavo, old and worn calf, repaired. Early nineteenth-century ink ownership of Henry Morgan, of Cardiff, on front pastedown and title-page. Ex library, with a few ink stamps (front pastedown, half-title, and page v), a label on rear pastedown, and evidence of a shelf label on spine. The upper board has been re-hinged and is a replacement that doesn't match the original (lower) board. However, it is a serviceable job that doesn't draw attention. Rear endpapers renewed. The text is clean; and the volume is very good overall.
