LODGE, Edmund (1756-1839) : A 1 Page Note to Mr Lepard, Signed with Initials, 1820

Lodge tells Lerpard that he will be ruined if Lepard does not send him two biographies soon, and tells Lepard "and you will be ruined also". Lodge's full name and address are in his hand on the reverse as the letter was obviously folded and sent that way. Sir Edmund Lodge, KH (1756-1839), herald, was a long-serving English officer of arms, a writer on heraldic subjects, and a compiler of short biographies. Lepard was a well known framer in London in this period.
