This paper covers the entirety of Amelie's life and career and highlights her fieldwork, scientific studies, and contributions to the study of plants and animals. She was a pioneer in her field when she was sent by Museum Godefroy in Hamburg, Germany to collect specimens from Australia between 1863 and 1872.
