Original billhead printed in black ink on light beige paper. Also includes handwriting in black ink. Datelined April 1, 1897 in Sacramento, California. 8 1/2" x 4 1/2." Billhead is clean and intact overall but has light age toning, light to moderate wrinkling throughout, horizontal and vertical fold lines, a few small closed tears at right edge on front, darkening on back, a few tiny pinholes at top (slightly affecting one letter), and a small chip along one of the fold lines (slightly affecting two letters). A Very Good copy. An original billhead from New York Bakery of Sacramento, California to "Mrs. Lawton." There are five line items that appear to span a number of months. The description of each line item includes "[Loaves?] Bread." The printed header reads, "Bought of New York Bakery. Kent & Son, Proprietors. Best Bread, Pies, Cakes, Rolls, Buns, Etc. 1315 Third Street, Bet. M and N.". Ephemera. Book Condition: Collectible-Very Good.
