Original small broadside printed in black ink on white paper. 5 3/4" x 17." Two pages (one leaf printed on front and back), complete. Two black-and-white illustrations, complete. One illustration is of Abraham Lincoln; the other shows the Lincolns' Logan Cabin near Farmington. Broadside is very clean and intact except for light age toning throughout, moderate age toning on top half of front, a few wrinkles, and about four horizontal fold lines. A Very Good copy. In February 1861, Abraham Lincoln made his last visit to his relatives living in Farmington, Coles County, Illinois after being elected as president. This is a commemorative reminiscence by R. H. Osbourne, then an aspiring circuit clerk and local of Farmington, who recounts the celebratory reunion attended by family and friends. Osbourne recollects different episodes of Lincoln's visit including a warm and friendly exchange he had with Lincoln. After this visit, Lincoln left for the White House. Also included is a brief article about "Lincoln's Three Log Cabins" and information about the Shiloh Lincoln Memorial Club of Janesville, Illinois (mostly a list of the club's articles and by-laws)..
