2 pages (6 1/2 x 9 inch) one side printed, the other in ink, signed by Denison Palmer, Justice of the Peace and others. Denison Palmer signs a writ requesting the sheriff of New London county to summon Moses Palmer to appear before Chester Smith, Justice of the Peace. Palmer apparently owes the defunct firm of Ansel and Asher Coates ten dollars. Also signed by A.P. Brown as a witness. Signed on the back by David Baldwin, Deputy Sheriff, that the writ has been served. Also signed on the back by Chester Smith that Palmer has failed to appear and that his in default of the judgment against him. (Denison Palmer, 1781-1842, was from an old Storington, Conn family. David Baldwin, 1799-1848, eventually served in the Connecticut State Legislature). Some foxing to the document, but otherwise a fine clean copy.. Manuscript. Book Condition: Collectible-Fine.
