A sermon by Theodore Parker (1810-1860), an American Transcendentalist, Unitarian minister, and abolitionist. In this sermon, Parker speaks about the inevitable process of aging that affects every human being. Parker touches upon many subjects related to aging. Much of his sermon uses anecdotal and allegorical examples to compare and contrast two groups of older people, faithful Christians and those who pursued worldly interests, and their respective quality of life in old age. He correlates the choices people made at a younger age to the quality of life they have when they are older. Parker concludes with a verse about the promise of the heavenly Kingdom to Christians in the afterlife.. Book. Book Condition: Very Good. Binding: Soft cover
