First Edition, second state (bound in grained cloth instead of smooth). Slim 8vo. 94pp + [ii] advertisements. Dark purplish-blue grained cloth lettered in gold at the spine. A small area of discolouration to the head of the backstrip where the dust wrapper is defective, paperstock very lightly tanned and with just a hint of spotting to the title page and to very occasional text leaves. A very crisp copy in non-price-clipped dust wrapper, tanned at the spine panel with a single small area of loss, and with a little further uneven tanning to the front and rear panels. Former owner name neatly inked to the head of the front free endpaper, along side a date to the base of the front pastedown (this last obscured by the wrapper flap). Larkin's second mature appearance in print.
