Of the illustrations, 57 are original photographs, the majority of them being 20 x 15 cm; the other 33 are either taken from publicity material issued by the firms (especially ISCOR) or publicity photographs. In all an attractive period piece, dealing with a little documented aspect of South African architecture in the period immediately before the Second World War.
