Salaman and Alice Cowen. She grew up amid the intellectual and refined surroundings of a home which was the rendezvous of many distinguished people. On July 12, 1843, she was married to John Simon, LL. B. A woman of striking individuality, Lady Simon kept from her seventeenth year a diary of 'Records and Reflections, ' from which she, in 1893, published a selection covering a period of fifty years, from 1840 to 1890. She wrote also a work on the Psalms, entitled 'Beside the Still Waters. ' - 1906 JE. Subjects: Judaism. OCLC lists 16 copies.
