The title page states that the novellae are on the gemarra, perushe Rashi, and Tosafot. The title page is dated ‘he Lord has redeemed Jacob’ (Jeremiah 31: 10) . There are approbations from R. Jacob David Zinzheim; and R. Jacob Nunes Weiss and R. Solomon ben David Hayyim Malakh, followed by R. Jacob Shimshon Shabbethai’s introduction and the text. After the novellae, which comprise the greater part of the book, is a second section entitled Shomer Shabbat with its own foliation. It includes supplementary material to several of R. Jacob Shimshon Shabbethai’s other works, namely Shabbat shel Mi and Ya'akov Le-Hok, here entiled Haghot ali Hok. R. Jacob Shimshon Shabbethai ben Raphael Issachar Sinigaliah was a rabbinical author. He was born in Ancona and died in Sinigaglia 1840. R. Sinigaglia was a pupil of R. Abraham Israel, rabbi of Ancona, and was the author of: preface to the sermons ("Se'uddat Mitzvah") of R. Daniel Terni, rabbi at Florence (Venice, 1791) ; "Shabbat shel Mi" (Leghorn, 1807) , Talmudic novellæ; "Ya'akov Le-Hok, " commentary on the "? O? Le-Yisrael" by Jacob Baruk (ib. 1807) ; "Abir Ya'a? Ob" (Pisa, 1811) , Talmudic novellæ; "Nezir Shimshon" (ib. 1813) ; "Mattat Elohim" (ib. 1821) ; "Mattan ba-Seter" (Leghorn, 1843) ; "Meged Shamayim" (ib. 1844) , responsa.
