the original jacket is worn and torn but presents quite well in cellophane. there are old tape residue marks on the front flaps. the front end page has been removed and there is a previous owner's inscription under the front board. there are also a few small pen marks on the early pages. a couple of age related marks in the text but these are very minor. the binding is excellent. this is the true first edition published in 1964 not the 'reprinted before publication' edition..
