Original publisher's mustard-brown cloth binding with gilt lettering on spine. Black lettering and brown illustration of a windmill for grinding cane printed on front cover. 5" x 7 1/2." 197 pages, complete. Many black-and-white in-text illustrations, plates, and maps, complete. Alphabetical Index to Illustrations in front. Sixteen additional pages of advertisements in back, some of which have black-and-white illustrations. Pages are very clean and intact except for light age toning, a few pages being loosened from the binding, minimal tape repair along the gutter on a few leaves, and another former owner's inscription in black ink on front free endpaper. Covers are very clean and intact except for slight wear to extremities and light to moderate loosening to the binding. A Very Good copy. A guidebook describing Barbados and other Caribbean islands by James H. Stark(1847-1919), a British-American author perhaps best-known for his travel books about Bermuda and the British West Indies.
