A celebration of the Performing Arts in the Transvaal from 1963 - 72 in text (Afrikaans and English) and a large number of thrillingly atmospheric photographs. The photographers were amongst the finest in South Africa at the time: Andre Liebenberg, Bob Martin, Tommy Murray, Coen C Oosthuysen, Willie van Heerden, Jannie van Niekerk. A happily owned book that was nonetheless subjected to careless storage. The cover is tight; it is worn and creased about the edges, corners and spine. Handling and storage marks abound, however the central illustration of a Commedia del Arte minstral is clear and entertaining. The spine is worn, cracked but is very sure and secure. Inside, the corners are thumbed, the pages are strong, bold, dramatic, poised, well positioned and eloquent. They are clean, clear and very confident. fk. Book Condition: Fair. Binding: Soft cover.
