Ninety-six plates, most of which are at least partially hand-colored in watercolor, complete. Former owner's gift inscription to his son in black ink on a front flyleaf (dated April 1, 1834). Pages are very clean and intact except for light age toning throughout and occasional foxing. Covers are very clean and intact except for slightly bumped corners, slight wear to front outer joint, a few small surface marks, and slight fading to spinal lettering. Binding is tight. A Fine copy. A small atlas filled with maps countries and regions from around world as well as statistical information. Said information comprises lists of city or place coordinates by country and region, a potamological table, and visual comparisons of mountains, lakes, and rivers from around the world. Each map comes with a facing list of places with corresponding coordinates. This atlas is replete with meticulous detail, fine hand-coloring done in watercolor, and visual appeal.
