With a tissue protected portrait frontispiece and thirty-three plates. Cloth a little rubbed at the head and base of the spine and lightly chafed at occasional extremities. A water stain impacts the frontis., title page, and contents and illustration index pages, but no text leaves. Binding quite tender in places with several leaves loosened but holding. A nice bright, if slightly fragile copy. No dust wrapper, probably as issued. Former owner bookplate to the front endpaper.
