Circa 1800s. Dimensions 10 x 5 1/2 inches. Black ink, vignette of steam locomotive top center, vignette of Native American girl crossing a stream bottom left, and decorative border. Not issued, no number, stamps or signatures. Three hole punches. Originally organized as the Cleveland, Warren and Pittsburgh Railroad in 1836, it was reorganized as the Cleveland and Pacific in 1845. Financial troubles caused the company to ask the city of Cleveland for municipal funds, which the residents approved in 1847. Still, the railroad did not begin operation until 1852. It was soon after leased to the Pennsylvania Railroad.. Book. Book Condition: Collectible-Very Good. Binding: No Binding
