Else overall Very Good. Not a facsimile, newer copy, print-on-demand, or library book - this is the actual 1877 edition. Stowe wrote widely, including religious poems, her work appearing in publications such as Atlantic Monthly, the Independent (of New York), and the Christian Union. Her father, Lyman Beecher, was one of the well-known evangelical preachers of the pre-Civil era and eventually president of Lane Seminar in Cincinnati. OH. A wonderful antiquarian book.
