Studies in Polish and Comparitive Law : A Symposium of Twelve Articles

Stevens & Sons, Limited, London, 1945

274 pages (complete). In many ways a historico-legal curiosity. The book deals, within its own reference terms, with a country, and the development of its legal framework, that existed only between 1919-1939. The articles within do have reference to the principles and codifications and values decided upon in the Declaration of the Polish Government (in London exile) in 1942 - but this reflection is in hindsight as the core of the intention was to detail the development of a unique European apres-guerre legal system. With admirable restraint the copyright page contains the following apology: "Technical difficulties due to the war have prevented us from adhering strictly to the original [publication] plan." The cloth covers have wear and markings from storage. They are resolute and secure. Within, the contents have previous owner stamps. The pages are clean, clear, assured, diligent and very certain. fk. Book Condition: Used: Acceptable. Binding: Hardcover
