Black-and-white illustrations, complete. The illustrations accompany advertisements for a variety of drinks which are interspersed among the text. Pages and covers are clean and intact overall. Pages and covers have minuscule soiling, tiny chips along the edges, and slight age toning. A Very Good copy. A collection of alcoholic drink recipes by the Fleischmann Distilling Corporation. Most of the recipes are categorized under "Gin Recipes" although there are a few uncategorized recipes in the front and a brief "Rum Recipes" section in the back. The featured products in this pamphlet appear to be Fleischmann's Gin and Fleischmann's Sloe Gin. The following is a sampling of the drinks one can make using this recipe book: "Manhattan Cocktail," "Whiskey Sour," "Whiskey Highball," "Mint Julep," "Sloe Gin Cocktail," "Gin and Bitters," "Tom Collins," "Sloe Collins," "New Orleans Gin Fizz," "Sunset Cooler," "Gin Rickey," "Major Bailey," "Rum Collins," "Rum Sour," and "Scotch Old Fashioned." The Fleischmann Distilling Corporation was originally the Fleischmann Yeast Company. In 1868, Charles and Max Fleischmann, two brothers who had immigrated from Hungary, and businessman James Gaff founded the Fleischmann Yeast Company in Cincinnati, Ohio. While the Fleischmann Yeast Company is best-known for its namesake yeast, it had also distilled alcoholic beverages in its early years. Fleischmann's yeast products and alcoholic beverages both sold very well, but the distilling side of the company eventually split off to become the Fleischmann Distilling Corporation. The brands of Fleischmann's alcoholic beverages were eventually sold, and after several changes in ownership, Sazerac is their current owner.. Book. Book Condition: Very Good. Binding: Soft cover
