Decorative illustrations in green and brown ink, complete. Program is very clean and intact except for slight rubbing, some wrinkling, and a small chip in the lower-right corner on front. A Very Good copy. A program published on the occasion of the launching of the S. S. Loyola Victory at Yard Two of the Permanente Metals Corporation in Richmond, California. Itinerary of the program is briefly listed on interior panels. The S. S. Loyola Victory was an American Victory ship that launched on March 21, 1945. Victory ships were a special class of cargo ships manufactured in North American shipyards during World War II to offset losses sustained by German submarines. Text on back says the S. S. Loyola was named after Loyola University. The Permanente Metals Corporation (PMC) was the manager of the Richmond Shipyards and was also a major manufacturer of magnesium during WWII.. Ephemera.
