Miniature edition of the Vancouver Sun for Friday, January 8, 1937. Special edition newspaper for a miniature exhibition. 5" x 7." Four pages, complete. Pages are very clean and intact. Front page headline of "I.O.D.E. Brings Tiny Marvels: World's Biggest Exhibit of Miniatures" with an article on Jules Charbeneau's "World's Largest Museum of Smallest Curiosities," which featured thousands of Charbeneau's miniature objects from around the world such as 3,000 spoons in an acorn and thirty-three carved elephants that fit in a seed. Black and white reprinted photographs throughout newspaper (some of which show the exhibition of miniatures). Local news and advice articles included, such as an article on Canadian national identity and a health section about anemia. This issue also covers world news, such as the German invasion of Morocco, "fascist forces" near Madrid, bank fraud in Poland, high salaries in the U.S., the marriage of Crown Princess Juliana of Holland to Prince Bernhard of Lippe-Biesterfeld, and building construction projects in China, Burma/Myanmar, India, and Singapore.
