64mo - up to 3" tall. In 1945 newly freed survivors of concentration camp Buchenwald were grouped into a farm/training center on the grounds of the death factory by American soldiers trying to rehabilitate the former inmates. Moved a little later on to Geringshof, ultimately the survivors made aliyah to the land of Israel and began rebuilding their lives together by building a kibbutz - KIBBUTZ BUCHENWALD. Eventually the name changed to Kibbutz Netzor. In 1946 the founding members made these pins in Israel, of which this is one, as a means of commemorating the establishement. Stamped on the back of the Star of David is the number 900. From tip to tip the pin is almost 2 inches in length. The banner with the Hebrew form of 'Kibbutz Buchenwald' is 3/4 of an inch wide. G+..
