Peri; Urbach (1912-1991) studies in Breslau, where he also taught at the Rabbinical Seminary, and Rome, and in 1938 immigrated to Israel. There, he was a grammar school teacher and administrator, and later worked for the Ministry of Education and Culture. In 1951, he began teaching at the Hebrew University. Beginning in 1962, he held offices of the Israel Academy of Sciences and Humanities. A Talmud scholar, he won the Israel Prize for his book Ba'alei ha-Tosafot. His research in the field of rabbinics resulted in this book, Hazal: Pirke Emunot ve-De'ot, “in which he outlines the views of the rabbis on the important theological issues such as creation, providence, and the nature of man. ”(Herr, EJ) Very good condition.
